The Ministry of Information and Telecommunications condemned today in the harshest terms the threats directed at the editors, journalists and columnists of the daily newspaper “Danas”.

It is impermissible for disagreement with the editorial policy of the media to be expressed by threating the lives of media employees and the personal safety and professional integrity of journalists and media workers.
Under the law, the public information is free, it is not subject to censorship and the editorial autonomy of the media must not be threatened by pressures, threats and blackmail of editors, journalists or sources of information, according to the statement.
