On that occasion, Joksimovic pointed out that Serbia, in cooperation with the UN, will achieve concrete results in the field of sustainable development – stability, but also climate, security, food and energy security, and thus, in difficult times, provide citizens with a better life.
She stated that the UN Cooperation Framework for Sustainable Development 2021-2025 launches a new five-year cycle of multi-enhanced partnerships to accelerate green and digital transformation.
The Minister expressed confidence that further joint strategic approach, defined through a kind of basic plan of activities with which we are starting a new period today, will have concrete results and contribute to the interest of each responsible government, namely sustainability and stability, climate, security, food and energy security. is vital for everyone in Europe and the world.
She added that Serbia is implementing the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans, which it joined by signing the Sofia Declaration, at all levels within the accession and negotiation process.
Joksimovic also reminded of the possibility of using IPA 3 funds and the perspective that allocates significantly more funds for projects related to the environment and sustainable development goals.
Today's meeting marks the operationalisation of the UN Framework for Sustainable Development with the Republic of Serbia, signed in February by Foreign Minister Nikola Selakovic and Francois Jacob, in the presence of Joksimovic.
