Mateja Kezman
Several Premiership sides have already made contact with Kezman's agent Chiel Dekker, but the striker's preferred choice is Liverpool. Dekker told BBC Sport: "Liverpool have not been in touch about Mateja, but plenty of other English clubs have.
"Mateja has made no secret of his desire to play in England, and it is his probable summer destination."
Kezman was reported to have told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf Liverpool had joined the race to sign him.
"Liverpool are back in it, it's true. It's a marvellous club with a great history, it would be great to join them," said Kezman.
But Dekker claims Kezman's quotes have been misinterpreted, with the Anfield club showing no interest, and added they had not ruled out a move to Spain either.
Dekker added: "Mateja was asked by some Dutch journalists if he would like to play for Liverpool and he said yes, but that's all. "Spain is also a consideration, but because Mateja is a Serb he counts as a non-EU player, and La Liga teams can only have three in the side at any time.
"But nothing will happen yet, so we'll have to just wait and see."
Liverpool are already thought to have agreed a £14m deal for Auxerre striker Djibril Cisse in the summer, making a move for Kezman even more unlikely.
