There are 493 patients in hospital, of whom 20 are on ventilators.
In the last 24 hours, six people died as a result of the virus, so the total number of deaths is 15,933, and the mortality rate is 0.80 percent.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 9,383,655 people have been tested, of whom 1,996,868 were positive for coronavirus, the statement said.
