There are 1,179 patients in hospital, of whom 67 are on ventilatory support.
In the last 24 hours, 17 people died as a result of the virus, so the total number of deaths is 15,587, and the mortality rate is 0.80 percent.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 8,924,005 people have been tested, of whom 1,940,516 were positive for coronavirus, the statement said.
