There are 2,064 patients in hospital, of whom 100 are on ventilators.
In the last 24 hours, 29 people died as a result of the virus, so the total number of deaths is 15,375, and the mortality rate is 0.80 percent.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 8,814,153 people have been tested, of whom 1,921,831 were positive for coronavirus, the statement said.
