Today, President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic attended a test drive of the new high-speed train "Stadler KISS" on the Belgrade-Petrovaradin line.
The test drive of the train, which was moving at a speed of 200 km per hour, was also attended by Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Tomislav Momirovic, Minister of the Interior Aleksandar Vulin and Minister of Environmental Protection Irena Vujovic.
Also present were Vojvodina Prime Minister Igor Mirovic, the mayors of Belgrade and Novi Sad, Zoran Radojicic and Milos Vucevic, deputy mayor of Belgrade Goran Vesic and representatives of companies from Russia and China that worked on the construction of a high-speed railway from Belgrade to Novi Sad.
Vucic said that this is a different picture of a changed Serbia and that a lot of money had been invested in the project, adding that the last preparations are underway to start commercial use of the railroad on 15 March.
