Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovicic, French Ambassador to Serbia Pierre Cochard and Director of the French Institute in Serbia Stanislas Pierret signed today the Cooperation Agreement.
Under the agreement, every holder of the Dositej scholarship of the Serbian Fund for Young Talent, who continues his or her master’s or PhD studies in France, will also be awarded an additional scholarship of the French government.
Udovicic underlined that the signing of this agreement, which continues the cooperation that has lasted for almost one century, is another proof of friendly relations of Serbia and France and a great stimulus for our best students who can expect support from both Serbian and French governments in the continuation of their academic studies.
According to him, our common goal is that Serbia’s best students get acquainted with French culture, make friends, upgrade their knowledge and return to Serbia with the most beautiful impressions from France.
The scholarship of the French government covers the costs of student social security in that country and gives student the status of “the French government scholarship holder”, which includes certain benefits during the studies.
The Cooperation Agreement comes into force on the day of its signing and will be valid for four consecutive academic years, starting from the academic year 2021/2022.
