The statement states that 2,488 patients are in hospital, of whom 125 are on ventilators.
In the last 24 hours, 37 people died as a result of the virus, so the total number of deaths is 12,401, and the mortality rate is 0.97 percent.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 7,064,541 people have been tested, of whom 1,282,461 were positive for coronavirus, the statement said.
