Member of the COVID-19 crisis response team and Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Darija Kisic Tepavcevic announced that the team made a decision today not to move the school holidays, from 31 December to 24 January.
At a press conference after the session of the team Kisic Tepavcevic stated that a decision was made to introduce more rigorous measures when entering Serbia for passengers coming from South Africa, Malawi, Mozambique, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia and Zimbabwe.
She explained that Serbia does not have direct flights with these countries, but that passengers who come from those countries via other countries will be taken into account.
According to her, those passengers will do a PCR test at the airport, and in case they are negative, they will be quarantined for 14 days in the place of residence, and after seven days they have the obligation to do another test.
In case they are positive, they will be transferred to the covid ambulance or hospital, she explained.
She appealed to the citizens to get vaccinated, and at the same time presented the data that to date, 57% of all adult citizens in our country have been vaccinated with the first dose, 54% with the second, while one third got the booster dose.
