There are 6,597 patients in hospital treatment, of which 288 are on ventilators.
In the last 24 hours, 51 people died as a result of the virus, which increased the total number of deaths to 8,892, and the mortality rate is 0.87 percent.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 5,920,403 people have been tested, of which 1,024,497 were positive for coronavirus, the statement said.
