There are 6,519 patients in hospital treatment, of which 269 are on ventilators.
In the last 24 hours, 51 people died as a result of the virus, which increased the total number of deaths to 8,481, and the mortality rate is 0.87 percent.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 5,751,180 people have been tested, of whom 974,179 were positive for coronavirus, the statement said.
