There are 5,663 patients on hospital treatment, of which 212 are on ventilators.
In the last 24 hours, 42 people died as a result of the virus, so that the total number of deaths is 8,008, and the mortality rate is 0.88 percent.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 5,539,038 people have been tested, and 905,677 have tested positive for coronavirus, the statement said.
