Prime Minister Ana Brnabic announced that another 104,130 doses of the "Pfizer" vaccine would arrive in Serbia today, and announced that more vaccines will soon arrive from China.
At a conference in Istocno Sarajevo, after a joint session of the governments of Serbia and Republika Srpska, Brnabic stated that a donation of 10,000 doses of the AstraZenecca vaccine arrived in Sarajevo this morning, announcing that another 10,000 doses of the vaccine would arrive in Sarajevo and Republika Srpska.
The Prime Minister pointed out that, unfortunately, it cannot yet be said that Serbia is 100 percent safe and secure, citing the fact that more than 42 percent of the adult population has been vaccinated so far.
We hope to vaccinate more than 50 percent of the adult population by mid-June, but the effect of immunisation is already visible, she emphasised and added that the number of infected is decreasing compared to the number of tested, so the situation is under control.
However, the Prime Minister pointed out that we still have to be careful and appealed to people to get vaccinated, noting that the vaccination process is going well.
She pointed out that there are local self-governments that have achieved collective immunity, but she also said that while we are not all safe, no one is safe.
