Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Selakovic, met today in Madrid, as part of his official visit to the Kingdom of Spain, with Secretary-General of the Ibero American Conference (SEGIB) Rebeca Grynspan.
On that occasion, Selakovic pointed out that our country wants to preserve and further improve the traditionally good relations with the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, based on mutual friendship and strong historical ties.
He said that Serbia is interested in gaining the status of associate observer in the Ibero-American conference, because that would create an additional platform for developing cooperation with Latin American and Caribbean countries and contribute to better connections and strengthening cooperation in education, science, technology and art.
Also, Selakovic pointed out the very successful work of the Cervantes Institute in Belgrade, as well as the great interest in learning Spanish in Serbia.
