New deliveries of coronavirus vaccines coming soon

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic confirmed that approximately 106,000 more Pfizer vaccines are expected to arrive in our country tomorrow, and next Tuesday, slightly more than 211,000 vaccines from that manufacturer.

Brnabic pointed out that we hope for another contingent of 500,000 Sinopharm vaccines, but also Sputnik V.

She mentioned that the deliveries of vaccines through the COVAX system have decreased, expressing the belief that they will come again at the end of April, at the beginning of May.

Serbia has ordered approximately 15 million vaccines, for which it has signed contracts, the Prime Minister emphasised and explained that these are vaccines that are reserved for the next round of vaccination, if necessary, because we are waiting for instructions from the WHO and the manufacturers themselves on how long antibodies last.

According to her, the interest in vaccination is not diminishing at all, because a significant number of people still express interest in it daily through the eGovernment portal, with a large number of those who do not apply through the portal or call centers, primarily from rural areas.

There are a lot of people in smaller places who do not express interest through the portal or call center, but want to be vaccinated, and when we open vaccination points in smaller health centres, a large number of them come, she explained.

Last week, a record was broken in the number of vaccinated in one day, 80,450, Brnabic reminded and stated that the citizens have shown responsibility.
