Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic welcomed tonight at Nikola Tesla airport in Belgrade a plane carrying 100,000 Sputnik V vaccines from the Russian Federation.
Vucic pointed out that with this consignment of 100,000 vaccines, Serbia has so far procured 2.62 million vaccines.
With that, we will be able to vaccinate 1.3 million people, which is important for our country, the President pointed out and noted that 100,000 second doses arrived tonight, for the revaccination of citizens who received the first dose of Sputnik V.
He also recalled that Serbia is expected to start manufacturing the Russian vaccine.
Minister for Innovations Nenad Popovic, Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar and Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Botsan-Hachenko also welcomed Air Serbia's aircraft with the Russian vaccines.
