Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs and member of the COVID-19 crisis response team Darija Kisic-Tepavcevic said that the current epidemic measures will remain in force.
In a statement to the press, after the session of the COVID-19 crisis response team, she said that such a decision was made based on the frequency of coronavirus cases, bearing in mind that, although a more stable situation is recorded, the numbers are still at a high level.
She explained that more than 415,000 people have been vaccinated so far, and that there is a great interest of citizens in immunisation, adding that the COVID-19 crisis response team monitors the frequency of side effects after vaccination, and that there have been three such cases so far, which is 0.7 percent against 100,000.
The Minister mentioned that, as far as those who had reactions were concerned, these were cases that required hospitalisation – they referred to hematoma, lymphadenitis, and one allergic reaction.
According to her, at no time were the persons in danger of death and their health condition was remedied very quickly.
The COVID-19 crisis response team made a decision today to allow the users of gerontological centres who have undergone complete vaccination to receive visits in controlled conditions, while respecting all epidemic measures.
About 6,500 users of gerontological centres received one dose of the vaccine, while a complete vaccination was carried out somewhere, the minister explained.
