Minister of Health Zoran Loncar stated today in Novi Sad that the first doses of Pfizer vaccine will arrive in Serbia on Monday or Tuesday, adding that slightly less than 5,000 doses will arrive in the first tranche and that they will be received by users of nursing homes.

Loncar stated that the import licence for vaccines of the companies Pfizer and Biontech was issued yesterday at the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of the Republic of Serbia, and added that the first doses would arrive as promised by the end of the year.
It is a serious success if it is known that only a few countries in Europe and the world can boast that they will have vaccines in that period, said Loncar.
He expressed hope that the licence will be obtained by other producers, and that the citizens of Serbia will have the opportunity to choose the vaccine, noting that the vaccination will be free of charge.
According to him, Serbia was among the first to receive vaccines, because it was one of the first five countries in the world to sign an agreement with Pfizer.
