Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar announced that the Clinic for Pulmonology and the Clinic for Thoracic Surgery of the Clinical Centre of Serbia have become part of the COVID system since this morning.
In an address to the press, at the delivery of equipment and ambulances to our country by the UNDP, Loncar said that the capacities of the hospitals in Belgrade are fully used and that additional capacities are therefore opened.
The Minister said that last night a decision was made to turn Niska Banja into a COVID hospital, while the hospital in Leskovac with certain capacities for intensive care will be ready to receive patients.
In the temporary hospitals in Nis and Kragujevac, as well as in the interior of the country, we have enough space for covid patients, the Minister underlined and warned that the problem is in Belgrade, from where patients who require hospital treatment are transported to other cities in Serbia.
