Speaking at a press conference held after a session of the team, Kisic Tepavcevic said that secondary school students will also have an autumn break from 11 to 16 November, previously envisaged for pupils of elementary schools only.
According to her, 10 persons that died from coronavirus over the past 24 hours in Serbia is a great loss, and all that shows the potential of the virus, how dangerous it is and how fast it spreads.
Kisic Tepavcevic warned that the number of patients requiring hospital treatment is increasing daily, with 150 to 200 beds being filled every day.
Over the past 24 hours 317 patients with moderate and severe pneumonias were hospitalised, and 147 patients were discharged, she said and added that ten children and six mothers, one pregnant woman and a total of more than 200 COVID patients are receiving treatment at the Clinical Hospital Centre “Dr Dragisa Misovic”.
244 patients are hospitalised at the Clinical Hospital Centre “Bezanijska Kosa”, the Minister said and added that there is still capacity and it is still possible to plan several steps ahead, but that we should focus on avoiding the situation in which hospital capacities would be exhausted.
She specified that the largest number of coronavirus cases is in Belgrade 1,144, Novi Sad 219, Kraljevo 60, Nis 50, Vranje 32, Zrenjanin 29, Pancevo 25, Sremska Mitrovica 22, Ljubovija 20, while other cities have less than 20 cases.
