She warned that we have potential carriers of infection all over the country, and explained that the number of hospitalisations is approximately 15 percent of all those infected and that moderately serious and severe cases require hospital treatment.
Over the past 10 days, 20 to 40 more patients have been admitted daily than discharged, she specified.
According to Kisic Tepavcevic, there are 530 patients hospitalised at the moment, of whom a third is at the Clinical Hospital Centre “Bezanijska Kosa”.
Head of "Bezanijska Kosa" Marija Zdravkovic pointed out that there are 155 COVID patients in this hospital, with the largest number of them having a moderately severe and a severe clinical picture.
She stated that there were 12 discharges today, including a patient who spent 41 days on a ventilator.
At the moment, the number of infected people that we detect is high, but for now there are fewer severe cases that respond poorly to therapy.
