Deputy Director of the Institute of Public Health "Dr Milan Jovanovic Batut" epidemiologist Darija Kisic Tepavcevic said today that classes in schools, after the third week, are running normally, exactly as planned.
At the press conference of the COVID-19crisis response team, she stated that 331 patients are currently receiving hospital treatment, with seven children and four mothers in the "Dragisa Misovic" hospital.
Of the total number of newly infected, 61 percent are from the territory of Belgrade and Kragujevac, including 45 percent from Belgrade, she stated.
She specified that in primary schools, the coronavirus was confirmed in 33 pupils and 17 teachers, and in secondary schools, 16 students and 4 teachers were infected.
When it comes to our citizens who enter the country today before 6 pm, they are not obliged to call the health services, but they should also take care of how they feel for the next ten days, she said and reminded that our citizens who enter the country will be under special health supervision and will receive a health warning when crossing the border, in which they will be informed of all the obligations they are obliged to fulfill.
Epidemiologist Predrag Kon assessed that this surveillance system was made to benefit all of us.
Kon also stated that there are already cases of returnees in Belgrade, and in one health centre, out of nine positive for coronavirus, three were from Montenegro, while the other infected arrived from Turkey, Egypt and Croatia.
We are among the best in Europe now and we must maintain that situation. We have found a model, we all hope that it will work flawlessly, said Kon.
