Addressing a press conference, after a session of the COVID-19 Crisis Response Team, Kisic Tepavcevic called on citizens to return to Serbia by Friday because after that the supervision will begin.
She underlined that the citizens will not have to quarantine or self-isolate, but that they will be under supervision in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. The way in which the supervision will be carried out will be defined and made public in the upcoming days.
The COVID-19 Crisis Response Team made this decision due to an increased number of those infected in the region, but also in European countries, since the end of August.
She said that Montenegro at the moment has the third highest infection incidence rate in Europe and that as such poses a risk, and added that the number of infections increases in our country too since a large number of Serbian citizens are currently on holiday in Montenegro.
Kisic Tepavcevic noted that Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, in which there are also many Serbian citizens on holiday, have high infection incidence rates too.
She underlined that yesterday a mild increase in the number of those infected was recorded in relation to previous weeks, which was a signal for the COVID-19 Crisis Response Team to take measures in order to prevent the situation from worsening.
