At a press conference of the COVID-19 Crisis Response Team, Kisic Tepavcevic pointed out that we have fewer and fewer laboratory-confirmed cases and an increasingly stable epidemiological situation.
However, she added, we still have a significant number of people who are reservoirs of infection, as well as those who are asymptomatic, which is why it is important that we all adhere to general preventive measures.
Three infected children and one mother were admitted to the Clinical Hospital Centre "Dr Dragisa Misovic", while one child was hospitalised in Nis, she specified.
Epidemiologist Predrag Kon said that it is too early to give estimates about the coronavirus circulation after the return of students to schools and halls of residence, but the situation is being monitored and there is a clear algorithm for acting depending on the situation.
He pointed to the importance of respecting preventive measures because it is obvious that they give results, and underlined that it is important that there are no new hotspots and too much deviation from the number of hospitalised patients.
According to him, the data show that 13 of the newly infected are from Belgrade, that there are 25 cases in the whole of Vojvodina, while in the districts these are mostly individual cases.
