Minister for European Integration Jadranka Joksimovic stated today that Serbia stands firmly with the foreign policy of the European Union and is the first country in the region to harmonise its national security and defence strategies with EU Global Strategy.

In a statement for today's edition of the daily "Blic", Joksimovic stated that within Chapter 31, in addition to the percentage of harmonisation, other important activities are monitored which confirm Serbia's commitment and compliance with the common foreign and security policy of the EU.
She pointed out that Serbia contributes and actively participates in the fight against new challenges and threats, which affect the situation in Europe and the success of the common European response to crises, noting that migration management, fight against terrorism and coronavirus are measures of Serbia's contribution.
The Minister reminded that last year Serbia adopted the National Security Strategy and the Defence Strategy of the Republic of Serbia, in which European integration and EU membership are defined as the national interest of the state.
