Deputy Director of the Institute of Public Health of Serbia "Dr Milan Jovanovic Batut" Darija Kisic Tepavcevic said today that the epidemiological situation in Serbia is calming down, but that preventive measures must be respected.
Kisic Tepavcevic stated at the press conference in the Palace of Serbia that in Krusevac and Sabac, for example, there are no new cases, but that in some cities there have been minor outbreaks, such as in Odzaci where there were six positives out of 46 tested, which is the highest degree of positivity in one city.
We see the stabilisation of the epidemiological situation with the falling trend, which we hope will continue in the coming period, but we must respect preventive measures because they gave effect and contributed to it, said Kisic Tepavcevic, commenting on the latest data regarding COVID-19.
Epidemiologist Predrag Kon pointed out that the epidemiological situation in Belgrade is unequivocally and rapidly calming down and that there are municipalities where there is no one suspected of coronavirus.
Kon pointed out that in countries where there is tourism, where there is entry of people, and even the introduction of infection, the virus is intensifying again.
That will all change, it depends on our behaviour and contacts. The most important thing is to respect all measures, said Kon and added that the citizens of Serbia who return to the country do not have any additional obligations, and that the measures will be adopted in accordance with the epidemiological situation.
