Precise teaching plan from September

Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Mladen Sarcevic announced today that classes for children from first to fourth grade will take place in schools, noting that the number of students in classrooms will be reduced while respecting all measures.

At the press conference of the COVID-19 crisis response team, Sarcevic pointed out that everything depends on the current health of the nation and specified that classes will last 30 minutes.

That students from first to fourth grade will have four classes per day with five or 15 minute breaks.

After each block of classes, the classrooms must be disinfected, according to the recommendations prepared by epidemiologists, he said.

Epidemiologist Darija Kisic Tepavcevic stated that there are currently 91 patients on ventilators, which is the least number since 5 July this year, while 2,817 patients are in hospital.

She specified that 203 people have been hospitalised in the last 24 hours, and 376 patients have been discharged.

Also, as she added, the largest number of laboratory-confirmed persons is in Belgrade and Novi Sad, and a mild jump of the infected was noticed in Kikinda.

Epidemiologist Predrag Kon said that the risk of going to school should be put to a minimum and that it can be achieved by constantly wearing masks.
