Epidemiologist Predrag Kon stated today that all indicators show that the activity of coronavirus in the territory of Belgrade is decreasing, assessing it as good news, but, on the other hand, warned that the activity of this virus is still high, which makes the epidemiological situation uncertain.

At the press conference of the COVID-19 crisis response team, Kon said that caution is still necessary, although the number of those who appear in the clinics is declining.
Speaking about the upcoming school year, Kon emphasised that the epidemiological team will especially monitor the formation of children's groups and the start of school in September.
With the application of epidemiological measures – masks, distancing and hand hygiene, the transmission of the virus can be reduced, Kon repeated.
Commander of the Military Hospital "Karaburma" anesthesiologist Colonel Ivo Udovicic pointed out that the figures are optimistic, but also that it is enough to have several outbursts so that the situation in Belgrade becomes more complicated.
He stated that the Military Hospital "Karaburma" is working at full capacity and that, in relation to the total number of admitted, it still has 10 and 20 percent of patients with a severe clinical picture.
