Provincial Secretary of Health Zoran Gojkovic said today that the fight against coronavirus is a fight of the entire society, not just of the crisis response team and doctors, pointing out that the measures implemented have brought to a decrease in the number of respiratory illnesses and deaths.

Presenting the current epidemiological data at the press conference of the COVID-19 crisis response team, Gojkovic pointed out that all of us in Serbia are eagerly waiting for the epidemiological curve to flatten.
He said that a special IT group, within the crisis response team, is working on the development of an application that would help monitor coronavirus infected people and their contacts, which is already available in some countries.
Gojkovic stated that a large number of patients who died as a result of coronavirus infection were overweight and consequently had diabetes, reminding that the authorities have been working for years to raise citizens' awareness to adopt healthy lifestyles.
We will continue to work on that, he announced and added that, in addition to the health sector, education and sports associations must be included in all that.
