Speaking at a press briefing of the COVID-19 Crisis Response Team, Kisic Tepavcevic pointed out that the number of patients that require hospitalisation has been decreasing in recent days, as well as a total number of examinations in COVID clinics.
She cited as an example that over the past 24 hours, slightly less than 2,000 examinations were performed in COVID clinics in Belgrade, while the average in the previous days was 2,700.
According to her, Belgrade is still the biggest hotspot when it comes to the absolute number of confirmed cases, while Kragujevac comes second and Novi Sad the third.
Kisic Tepavcevic pointed out that in the last 24 hours, the highest incidence rate has been recorded in Kragujevac, noting that Sabac and Kraljevo are also important hotspots where the epidemiological situation is intensively monitored, and local crisis headquarters make or correct decisions if necessary to combat the spread of the epidemic.
She reported that eight more people died over the past 24 hours, with the average age of death being 69. The patients that died were six men and two women.
The Deputy Director of "Dr. Milan Jovanovic Batut" also stated that a total of 690 health workers are infected with the coronavirus, of whom 72 are hospitalised.
