Speaking on Radio Television of Vojvodina, Brnabic pointed out that the most efficient solution would be to introduce a state of emergency and a ban on movement, but we chose to fight in a different way.
By introducing a ban on movement, as she explained, we would physically disable contacts between people, which after 14 days gives results, there would be fewer infected people, and thus fewer people in hospitals.
The Prime Minister pointed out that there is an explosion in new cases everywhere in the world, not only in Serbia, and that no one expected that the virus would be so present during the summer months.
The fight against the coronavirus is a fight of the entire society, not only the Government of Serbia and the COVID-19 Crisis Response Team, she stated and added that there are more than 500 medical ventilators in warehouses.
Answering the question as to whether it is time to turn to the EU or China for help if the situation is so critical, Brnabic pointed out that the Government of Serbia always talks to partners, that the situation is critical, but not so much that we cannot deal with it.
