Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar stated today that Cigota Special Hospital on Mount Zlatibor will be turned into a COVID hospital, as assistance to the Uzice hospital, where the number of coronavirus cases is growing.

Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar stated today that Cigota Special Hospital on Mount Zlatibor will be turned into a COVID hospital, as assistance to the Uzice hospital, where the number of coronavirus cases is growing.
Following a meeting with heads of COVID hospitals, Loncar said that they have free capacities for two days more and that now they are considering which other hospitals in the interior of the country could be turned into COVID hospitals.
He appealed on citizens once more to stick to all protective measures, and pointed out that the final decision on introduction of a curfew for the weekend will be made by the COVID-19 Crisis Response Team in next two days.
The Minister did not specify whether that measure will be introduced in the territory of entire Serbia and underlined that the intention is not to punish those who respect all epidemiological measures.
Loncar said that we had these measures before and that they gave results, that the number of new infections dropped significantly and that the situation was under control.
