Minister for European Integration Jadranka Joksimovic participated today in a video meeting with Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy Oliver Várhelyi and ministers of foreign affairs and European integration of the Western Balkans.
The meeting was an opportunity to exchange opinions and information on activities undertaken and planned in the European Union and Serbia in order to improve the health situation and full control over the coronavirus epidemic.
Joksimovic said that Serbia welcomes the decision for Serbia to be placed on the list of countries for the normalisation of the cross-border regime with the EU from 1 July.
The Minister emphasised that the coordination of activities with international partners, and especially the European Union, is the only way to overcome challenges that cross borders, such as a pandemic.
Joksimovic informed Várhelyi about the new measures brought by the crisis response team for the suppression of COVID-19, bearing in mind the increase in the number of infected people, and informed him about the capacities of our system.
