Prime Minister Ana Brnabic announced today that the introduction of fast coronavirus antibody tests is planned, on the basis of which it will be possible to determine if someone has contracted coronavirus and developed antibodies.
Brnabic said in a statement to Television Prva that the price of the test has still not been set, but that it should range between RSD 1,000 and RSD 1,200 and added that the state will make no profit from these tests.
She underlined that it is too early to celebrate victory as the virus has not disappeared, but the number of new infections is much lower and stands around one percent.
These days we have between 40 and 100 new confirmed cases per day so hospitals are slowly going back to the normal regime of work, Brnabic pointed out. The situation in the entire territory of Serbia is being monitored and the state reacts in a timely manner.
As for entry into Serbia, the Prime Minister reiterated that Serbian citizens can enter the country without a negative PCR test. They will be given information to go to the Public Health Institute to get tested.
Serbian citizens can also freely leave Serbia, but they must check if they need a test for the county they travel to, Brnabic underlined.
She added that the COVID-19 Crisis Response Team has recommended to postpone Exit Festival to August, if by then the health conditions will become favourable.
