First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic talked on the phone today with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Spain Arancha González Laya.
Dacic expressed deep regret over the situation in the Kingdom of Spain, which is one of the countries hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe.
He expressed hope that the country would return to normal life and economic flows as soon as possible, and at the same time informed the Spanish minister that Serbia eased restrictive measures in the fight against the pandemic, which is a consequence of the improving epidemiological situation.
Laya said that there is a gradual but cautious relaxation of measures in the Kingdom of Spain as well.
The officials agreed that after the end of the crisis, the two countries should start intensifying economic cooperation.
They expressed satisfaction with the extremely high level of political relations between the two countries, assessing bilateral cooperation as strategic, friendly and without open issues, and characterized by a high level of understanding in all fields, regular political dialogue and a constant trend of improvement.
