Prime Minister Ana Brnabic announced today, following the recommendation of the Crisis Response Team for the Suppression of Infectious Disease COVID-19 that Serbian citizens and foreigners will no longer need a PCR test to enter the country.
The government will adopt some decisions at the next session, which will additionally liberalise the entry into Serbia, she said.
Brnabic pointed out that in the last 24 hours, there have been 34 newly infected cases out of approximately 5,300 tested, which is 0.64% positive, and that because of that, the measures will continue to be relaxed.
The isolated case in Vranje was discussed at the session of the Crisis Response Team, but if we exclude that, we see that Serbia is still calm, she said.
Due to that, we will try to further ease the measures, and especially the measures for entering Serbia, to abolish the commission and the obligation of negative tests, the Prime Minister specified.
According to her, air traffic in Europe, which is opening its borders, is slowly normalising, and Serbia must not lag behind.
Brnabic added that the government has the support of the profession for easing the measures.
