First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic expressed his conviction today that the joint efforts of the countries of the Central European Initiative (CEI) will bring concrete results in the fight against the pandemic of COVID 19.

Speaking at an extraordinary video meeting of the prime ministers of CEI Member States, Dacic expressed his unreserved support to an initiative of the Executive Secretariat and the Regional Office for Europe of the World Health Organization, owing to which the work of the CEI Working group for combating the epidemic has been launched.
We are grateful to the CEI which has come forward once more as a decade-long pillar of cooperation in our region and announced an extraordinary call for projects, which is also intended for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises Dacic said.
He added that Serbia welcomes the initiative for providing support to small businesses and the NGO sector, which are now in a very difficult situation.
Recognising the need for mitigating and preventing economic consequences for our society, I am pleased to point out that the Republic of Serbia is ready for any further action when it comes to strengthening our economic ties and deepening the market of the region, the First Deputy Prime Minister concluded.
