Epidemiologist Predrag Kon stated that since the last report until today at 15.00, samples of 5,012 people were tested, of which 62 were positive, which increased the total number of infected to 10,176.
At the regular press conference in the Palace of Serbia, Kon stated that 1,123 patients were hospitalised, of whom 29 are on ventilators, noting that three people died in the last 24 hours.
A total of 145,604 people were tested, he emphasised and added that a total of 218 patients have died since the beginning of the epidemic, and that 3,220 had been cured.
The death rate is 2.14%, he said.
Kon also warned that the epidemiological situation is still uncertain, although he does not expect any deaths in June, and perhaps even earlier.
We have other indicators, which indicate some instability, but the trend is clear and speaks of the epidemic coming to an end, said Kon, adding that caution is needed at this moment, but also a return to normal life.
He announced that the crisis response should define the rules regarding travel and entry into the country tomorrow, while, when it comes to leaving the country, he stated that it exclusively depends on the requirements of the countries where one travels.
According to him, those who come to our country will certainly have to have a negative PCR test not older than 72 hours.
