Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali spoke today in Budapest with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Hungary Peter Szijjarto about the economic measures for support to the economy that the two countries have enacted, as well as about the situation in the economy caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

After the meeting, Mali told media representatives that in these circumstances cooperation between the two countries and the entire region is important, pointing out that relations between Serbia and Hungary have never been better.
Today’s talks with Szijjarto have been very constructive and I want to praise the measures taken by the Hungarian government to support the economy, Mali added.
Hungarian investors are welcome, I urge them to use these funds and come to Serbia, employ our people, and of course make a profit, and we will continue as two governments to take care of our public finances, to support our economies and work responsibly, the Minister said.
Mali added that the cooperation on major infrastructure projects, such as the Belgrade-Budapest fast railway continues, as well as gas supply and the Turkish Stream project.
