Gojkovic said at a regular coronavirus press briefing at the Palace of Serbia that a total of 2,479 patients have been hospitalised to date, 1,343 have been cured and 71 are on ventilatory support.
A total of 85,645 persons have been tested to date and six more died over the past 24 hours, two men and four women.
According to him, coronavirus has so far claimed 179 lives in Serbia, with the death rate being 1.99%.
Director of the Infectious Diseases Clinic of the Clinical Centre of Serbia Goran Stevanovic said that out of 1,843 citizens of Belgrade tested over the past 24 hours 90 tested positive, which is the biggest and slow growth in relation to the previous several days.
However, this is still not worrying, he said, because it is less than 5% of those tested.
Immunologist Srdja Jankovic underlined that avoiding contacts is still the ultimate goal and that we should observe May Day, the holiday of solidarity, precisely by showing solidarity and responsibility and avoiding contacts.
