Kisic Tepavcevic said at a regular press conference that 3,614 people have been tested in the last 24 hours and that a total of 2,701 patients have been hospitalised.
She indicated that there were 85 patients on the ventilator and that of the six deceased, three were male and three female.
In total, 162 people have died from coronavirus infection in Serbia so far, she said, adding that the mortality rate is 1.96%, of which 103 are male and 59 are female.
In social care institutions, 564 users and 149 employees were infected, and the virus was detected in 30 institutions, she said, adding that a total of 75 users and 24 employees were cured in those institutions.
More than 30 people have died so far at the Gerontology Centre in Nis, she said, specifying that of the six people who died today, four are from the centre.
She also pointed out that curfew during the May Day holidays is a recommendation of the profession based on medical evidence and experience of other countries.
