Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali announced that the Serbian government today adopted three important documents that complete the Economic Measures Programme for reducing the negative effects caused by the contagious disease COVID-19.
At a press conference, Mali said that this enables the implementation of all measures. He specified that the documents adopted are the 2020 Budget Revision Bill and the regulation regulating the payment of €100 to all adult citizens who express the wish to receive this money.
He also said that a contract between the government and commercial banks has been adopted, which allows entrepreneurs, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises a €2 billion guarantee scheme.
The Minister pointed out that the guarantee scheme is now fully regulated and that these funds are available, noting that this money is guaranteed by the government and aimed at ensuring the liquidity of the economy.
According to him, when the state budget was adopted in November no one could expect an epidemic to happen and that is why today a budget revision has been adopted, which fully contains all the elements and details and the total amount of €5.1 billion, which is tied to the economic aid package for the Serbian economy and citizens.
