Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar stated that since the last report until 15.00 today 3,281 persons were tested for coronavirus, of whom 224 tested positive, while four persons died.

Number of new coronavirus infections in Serbia drops

Speaking at a regular coronavirus press briefing at the Palace of Serbia, Loncar specified that a total of 3,266 have been hospitalized, of whom 103 are on ventilatory support and 73 have been put off ventilator until now.
A total of 48,636 persons who met the criteria of the definition of the case have been tested so far in Serbia.
Over the past 24 hours four persons died, three men and one woman, the Minister said and added that since the beginning of the epidemic, a total of 134 persons died, whereas a total of 1,025 have been cured.
Loncar said that at this moment, there is a total of 622 health workers infected with coronavirus, of whom 420 have been hospitalized.
Health workers account for 8.74% of all coronavirus infections.
As for the situation in gerontology centres, 493 residents and 111 staffers tested positive for coronavirus.
