First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic participated today in an online conference on "Serbian-American Relations Against the Challenges of COVID-19", organised by the Congress of Serbian-American Friendship.
As part of a panel at which Dacic addressed the participants, the speakers included US Congressman and Serbian Congress Caucus Co-Chairman Steve Stivers, Deputy Speaker of the Serbian parliament Vladimir Marinkovic and US Ambassador to Serbia Anthony Godfrey.
The speakers highlighted the most significant challenges that the two countries are facing and discussed possible future developments in the economic and political spheres in the aftermath of the current pandemic.
We are ready to further strengthen our cooperation with the United States in all areas. We want to work on achieving a common strategic commitment, both for Serbia and the US, for our region to become a secure, economically stable and democratic part of, hopefully, a united European community of states, Dacic said.
In this regard, Serbia will undoubtedly continue in its relations with the United States, as well as in its entire international action, to establish itself as an active, responsible and reliable partner who is at the same time a pillar of regional stability.
