The Serbian government made a decision to extend the duration of the curfew for the upcoming weekend, which will take effect tomorrow to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 disease.
For all citizens of the Republic of Serbia there is a complete ban on movement from Friday at 17.00 to Monday at 05.00.
Citizens over the age of 65 can leave their homes from 04.00 to 07.00 on Friday for grocery shopping to stores that will be open at the same period, from 04.00 to 07.00 on Friday.
Since the ban on movement has been extended, citizens can take their pets for a walk on Saturday and Sunday from 08.00 to 10.00, as well as every day between 23.00 and 01.00. The walk can take 20 minutes, up to 200 metres from the place of residence.
It is important to note that regardless of the prohibition of movement, if citizens feel any health difficulties or need to go to their community health centre because they suspect of coronavirus infection, they should act without delay and will certainly not be sanctioned if they leave their home for that reason.
The government of the Republic of Serbia will continue to closely monitor the development of the COVID-19 situation and adjust all measures, relying solely on the advice of experts.
Once again, we urge all citizens to adhere to all measures without exception, so that we could win this battle together as soon as possible.
