The Canadian Ambassador expressed gratitude for the support and assistance in the return of 101 Canadians to Canada on 5 April 2020.
It was a complex and demanding operation that involved not only the evacuation of Canadians located in the territory of Serbia, but also Canadians located in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro and North Macedonia, who were transported to the Belgrade airport by bus during the curfew.
This repatriation operation is a good example of the cooperation that is possible when we all work together to combat the impact of COVID 19 on our countries, our societies and our peoples, Ambassador Kathleen Csaba said.
