Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Nebojsa Stefanovic said that last night a small number of citizens, about 150 of them, violated the curfew in the whole of Serbia.
In a statement to Happy Television, Stefanovic expressed gratitude to the vast majority of citizens for being responsible and disciplined, pointing to the importance of respecting social distancing measures over the next seven to ten key days.
He stated that about sixty people were infected in the Interior Ministry and that the fewest were among border guards, explaining that all those who had been in contact with the infected are in self-isolation, which lasts for 14 days for the police.
Since the introduction of the state of emergency, the number of offences has been reduced by 55 percent, which is expected, the Deputy Prime Minister added.
The percentage of petty offences is recording the biggest drop, and the number of domestic violence cases is reduced by about 25 percent, Stefanovic said, noting that any domestic violence must be reported and that police would respond.
