Kisic Tepavcevic pointed out that in recent days we have a stable number of patients with coronavirus, with a slight decrease today, in a week when in some other countries there is a great increase in the number of patients.
This is an indication that we are on the right track, that we know what we are doing and that we are acting responsibly and conscientiously, she said.
Although this is a small, promising sign, we should now struggle because these numbers show that what we all do together is the basis of a real fight against this infection, she said.
Epidemiologist Predrag Kon pointed out that after three days we reached the maximum, which would last another ten days, and emphasised that in these two weeks the most restrictive measures planned so far should be implemented.
These are, he explained, all measures to prevent any contact in the coming weeks, because then the virus is the most aggressive and capable of transmitting over a huge number of people who are "reservoirs".
According to yesterday's data, 104 people were accommodated at the Belgrade Fairgrounds, while, according to the data, 64 patients were registered at the Cair Hall and 38 at the Novi Sad hospital, Kon said, pointing out that 8.3% of those infected are health workers.
Answering the question whether mass testing will be carried out as it was done at the Cardiovascular Diseases Institute "Dedinje", he stressed that the priority is to test health workers, but not all of them need to be tested, especially not those who were not in close contact with those infected.
The crisis response team will receive a list from all health care institutions who needs to be tested, he announced, noting that there are enough tests now.
