Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali today held a meeting of the Coordination Team for the implementation of the Programme of Economic Measures to reduce negative effects caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The meeting at the Palace of Serbia was attended by National Bank of Serbia Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic, Minister of Labour, Employment, Veterans' and Social Affairs Zoran Djordjevic, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Branislav Nedimovic, State Secretaries of the Ministry of Economy Dragan Stevanovic and Milun Trivunac, as well as representatives of the Office of the President of Serbia, Prime Minister, Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the Tax Administration.
Members of the Coordination Team discussed open issues regarding the implementation of the Economic Measures Programme, so that the appropriate legal framework could be adopted by the end of this week, on Friday, as announced.
The Implementation of economic measures will begin immediately after adoption.
The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, 8 April, when representatives of all relevant institutions, who are also members of the team, will make the necessary decisions when it comes to refining the plan.
The economic measures programme will include tax policy measures, direct assistance to the private sector, measures to preserve liquidity and direct assistance to all citizens of legal age, according to a statement from the Ministry of Finance.
